Donky selects Liberty Communications to drive UK media outreach and raise brand awareness

Liberty Communications, the integrated digital marketing communications agency, today announced that it has been selected by Donky, a Dynmark brand, to support the launch of the company into the UK and US market and grow brand awareness.

 

Focusing on positioning Donky’s unique capabilities to support marketers, retailers, banks and gaming companies on their journey into the connected world, the campaign started in November and comprises of media and analyst relations, content creation and event management.

Geemo selects Liberty Communications for awareness building programme across the UK

Liberty Communications, the integrated digital marketing communications agency, today announced that it has been appointed by innovative proximity marketing specialist Geemo to raise awareness of its proximity marketing solutions in the UK.

Liberty Communications Expands Team with Senior Hire to Accelerate US Growth

Liberty Communications, the integrated technology PR and digital communications agency, today announced the appointment of Scott Beaver to oversee the expansion of its global footprint to San Francisco.

Mr Beaver will be joining Liberty as vice president and general manager, and will be responsible for leading the growth of Liberty US, existing client and new business development, and managing the new San Francisco office.

Mr. Beaver’s background includes leading strategic public relations programs for a range of global technology companies. Previously he was a member of the senior leadership team at Bateman Group, where he oversaw new business initiatives and managed communications for early- to late-stage technology companies including Braintree (acquired by eBay), WeChat (owned by Tencent), Xamarin, and Zenprise (acquired by Citrix). Prior to that, he spent five years at Sard Verbinnen & Co. where he managed crisis, financial and investor communications for companies including Alibaba Group, Elevation Partners, Facebook and SurveyMonkey.

As part of the expansion, Liberty is opening their new US office in San Francisco’s SOMA neighbourhood. Liberty will continue to add to its west coast headcount and is currently recruiting at all levels. Using the San Francisco office as a hub, Liberty plans to replicate the success of its European business, which is headquartered in London, UK.

Liberty Communications appointed by e-learning start-up Filtered for brand building project

Liberty Communications, the integrated digital marketing communications agency, today announced that it has been awarded a 9-month PR contract by Filtered, an innovative e-learning platform – launched by edtech firm Excel with Business.

Founded in 2009, Excel with Business provides online testing and training to businesses and individuals for a range of skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Web Design, App Design, Basic Accounts, etc. Having grown rapidly over the past two years, the company decided to launch premium learning platform and brand Filtered, which specialises in tailored online training in a range of business disciplines.

 

Liberty was appointed to support the business in raising awareness of the platform’s unique ability to teach users the critical or most desired components of the course, filtering out the rest to deliver a highly refined and customised syllabus.

Liberty Communications reappointed to promote EdTech Europe 2014

Liberty Communications announces senior US/North America hire

Liberty Communications, the integrated digital communications consultancy, today announced that it has hired Michael Draznin as senior consultant to create and drive high-impact marketing and communications programs in the US and North America. He joins the team in response to client demand and  the agency’s continuing rapid expansion in the region.

 

Draznin has over 20 years’ experience leading high-impact communications and marketing programmes within the technology space and deep expertise in financial, ad tech, and professional services sectors.

 

His background includes heading global corporate communications for three of the largest marketing services agencies in the world; leading the rebrand of the world’s largest strategic branding firm; and leading communications strategy for one of the largest global advertising agency mergers in history.

 

He has been involved in several IPOs, more than 15 M&A transactions, several divestitures, and numerous VC and PE fundings. In addition, he has done extensive work with technology, biotech, and usability companies in China, India and other BRIC regions.

Vello builds European Profile with Liberty Comms

Liberty Comms, the specialist technology communications consultancy, announced today that it has won a brief to support open networking company, Vello Systems, with its expansion across Europe.

 

 

 

The agency will provide integrated communications support to drive recognition for the company with a view to expanding share of voice around its software defined application platform.

Liberty goes for gold in the 2013 EMEA SABRE awards Certificate of Excellence awarded and shortlist nomination achieved

Liberty Comms, the specialist technology communications consultancy, announced that it has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence in the 2013 EMEA Silver SABRE awards and in addition, has also been shortlisted for a Gold award in the consumer electronics category.  Finalists for the latter category were selected from a record of more than 2,400 entries with winners set to be announced on 30th May in Barcelona.

 

Silver SABRE awards are given to those companies that demonstrate excellence in content creation, creative product and PR agency management. This year, Liberty was awarded a Certificate of Excellence in the PR product of the Year category for the development of its Liberty Index measurement tool, the only boutique agency winner in this category.

I’d very much welcome your suggestions for public relations firms (and/or individuals) working in the mobile space.

 

 

The reason I ask is that I’m trying to put a reasonably comprehensive list together.

 

Every week I get emails from people asking for suggestions for companies to meet. I have got my favourites (some of whom I list below), but I’d like to actually publish a list.

 

I get the impression from a lot of the enquiries that they’re pretty urgent. So when I respond days later by email, I often worry that I’m not fast enough — hence my intent to create a list.

 

Googling “Mobile PR” or “mobile public relations” or “wireless public relations” will yield you a few results I’m sure. But there are a ton more agencies out there. Many of the best aren’t actually dedicated to mobile, but instead are “tech focused” with a mobile practice or specialism.

Among other amazing extra-curricular activities such as a privately funded space exploration company, he has just spent $42m building a clock inside a Texan mountain that aims to run for 10,000 years. Not only that, it emits daily chimes created by Brian Eno. Very cool.

 

One of the fantastic things about technology PR is that there are lots of people like Jeff Bezos, revolutionaries who have made huge amounts of money developing new ways of doing things and who are only just getting into their stride.

 

But the passion is not just about space rockets and giant clocks. Bill and Melinda Gates, through their foundation, are using technology to change millions of lives, for example with a toilet that uses no water. This is technology at its very best.

PR Week – Top 150 PR Consultancies 2011

Today PR Week announced the Top 150 PR Consultancies for 2011 alongside some really positive news for the industry as a whole.  The Top 150 Consultancies listing is made up of agencies across the UK and is for agencies offering all manner of PR support to a variety of industries, so not just technology agencies.  The report found that the PR industry bounced back in 2010 with an average growth rate of 9.24% with many agencies surpassing this percentage.  It also states that PR is by far the most profitable of the marketing disciplines, which is good to know!

Specialist technology PR and marketing consultancy liberty launches liberty Consulting
